The Finnish American Chamber of Commerce organized its 5th Annual Christmas Party on 10th of December. The party was held in restaurant Benvenuto in Boynton Beach.
The event kicked off by a cocktail hour, which was in the bar area. After the cocktail hour we moved to the beautiful Garden Room, where the President of the FACC Mr. Esa Jokela, officially welcomed all the guests to the party.
The dinner was delicious! For starters we had Ceasar Salad, Caprese Salad and Mixed Greens. After the starters we enjoyed a performance by Opera singers Raimo Sirkiä and Cynthia Makris. In between the courses, we got to listen to Silvia’s Christmas song and White Christmas, among others, by the two talented singers. The performance was very touching. Thank you Raimo and Cynthia!
After the performance we enjoyed some grilled sirloin, seared salmon, chicken breast and grilled lamb. For dessert the pastry chef of Benvenuto had prepared us delicious vanilla creme brule, granny smith apple tart and key lime pie.
After the main courses and desserts, we sang Christmas songs together, led by Raimo and Cynthia. It was nice to sing together with the guests in Finnish and English, and many of us finally got the feeling that Christmas was approaching.
At the end of the party, we draw the raffle prizes! The Christmas baskets went to the lucky winners, Mr. Don Kolodz, our Honorary Guest from Discover Palm Beaches, Gunilla Norris and Leena Ojala. The main prize, Sibelius 150 Jubilee necklace went to John Piira from Coastline Realty.
