Hi!
My name is Henrietta Dahlman and I’m the new intern at the Finnish American Chamber of Commerce. I’m born and raised in southern Finland in the city of Espoo, but for the past four years I’ve been living in Sweden, working as well as studying media and communications at Karlstad University, with an fresh Bachelor’s degree in my hands.
I’m thrilled and honoured to have this once in a lifetime opportunity, where I get to spread my wings, learn new things and challenge myself. This is a great opportunity to gain new experience in the field of communications and hands-on knowledge in the american (business) culture. My internship will last for 7.5 months, from mid September to end of April 2017.
As the previous internships, also mine is divided between the Chamber of Commerce as well as the Honorary Consulate of Finland. My tasks at the Chamber of Commerce will be marketing, media and communications related, including event management, taking care of membership issues, participating in board meetings, maintaining social media and the monthly newsletter. At the Honorary Consulate I will be assisting the Honorary Consul himself, Peter Makila, with citizen related issues and inquiries, as well as emergency passports and other notary services.
I’m excited to be here, and can’t wait to see what life has to offer here in the US. Florida- let’s do this!
If you have any questions regarding internships, living abroad or anything else please do not hesitate to contact me by mail, Facebook or Twitter.
Cincerely,
Henrietta
